SCHOOL HISTORY

St. Joseph’s College, Vom, also known as CSJ (College of St. Joseph), was founded exclusively for boys in 1958 by the Society of African Missionaries (SMA) under the Catholic Diocese of Jos with the purpose of developing distinguished gentlemen for the benefit of humanity. The institution, located in Plateau State, North Central Nigeria, is founded on beliefs, ideas, and legacies intended to transcend generations, and its alumni enjoy a worldwide reputation for excellence.

 

In accordance with its motto – virtute et labore, the school is strongly founded in the philosophy of dignity in labour, and the deeper meaning of this philosophy is evident the instant one meets a graduate of the school.

Vom Old Boys Association (VOBA) is the alumni association for Vom’s St. Joseph’s College (CSJ). VOBA is one of the oldest and most active Old Boys Associations in Northern Nigeria and beyond.
